Writing Letters to the Editor
One of the most important things you can do to help with climate advocacy
Experts say that talking about climate change is among the most important things we can do to affect change in our communities. Have you wondered how you could express and amplify your concerns about climate effectively?
We have good news - there are tricks to writing letters to the editor, and we have an experienced mentor who has offered to help us with that as a strategy to increase our climate advocacy. We will cover the what, why, how and when of writing and submitting a letter to the editor including how to recognize and use 'hooks' and how to increase chances of getting published.
Mary Mulcaire-Jones, the workshop leader, is a wife, mother and grandmother and a founding member of Missoula Citizens Climate Lobby chapter. She started the MT CCL Print Media Team in 2020; last year the team sponsored 230 LTE's and Guest Opinion pieces across the state.
